You want a fixed price on your IFU before a single word is translated. Here’s where to send it.

Send the source file — or simply describe it — and the desk in Niantic reads it before it prices it. What comes back is one figure between $300 and $1,500, a delivery date with honest room for the second linguist, and the names of the two people who will read your text. Nothing is translated until you say go.

Ring (860) 884-4473 A linguist from the review desk picks up, weekdays 10am–6pm Eastern.
Write patients@havelogroup.com Attach the IDML, DOCX, XLIFF or editable PDF, and put the revision letter in the subject.

Choose the Line That Suits the File

Each route ends at the same desk and the same two readers. Which one you pick depends mostly on whether the source exists yet.

The file exists and you can attach it — IDML, DOCX, XLIFF or editable PDF. A linguist opens it, counts pages, checks the layout and the symbol captions, then replies with a fixed price and a date. Weekdays from 10am, in the order it landed.

You’re still deciding — which language, which register, a leaflet or the full IFU. You speak with someone who reads at the review desk. If we need the file to quote honestly, we’ll say so on the call. Weekdays 10am–6pm, Eastern time.
The file is still with engineering, but you know the document, the language and roughly how many pages. We write back with a likely figure and fix it in writing the day the final source arrives. Weekdays from 10am, alongside the inbox.

There’s a printed proof or a marked-up carton that reads better on paper than on a screen. Bring it during desk hours. It’s logged against its revision letter before you leave the door. Weekdays 10am–6pm. Closed Saturday and Sunday.

How a Desk Day Runs

10:00
The inbox is opened. Files that arrived overnight are read first, in the order they landed.
Midday
The phone is answered from the review desk. If it rings out, someone is mid-sentence on a carton — email the question and it’s answered the same way.
Afternoon
Quotes leave as each file is read through: a fixed price, a date, the two readers named.
18:00
The desk closes. Mail sent after six is opened the next weekday at ten.
Sat – Sun
Weekend mail waits for Monday morning. Nothing is answered by a machine in the meantime.

  1. The exact document

We quote the file you sent — title, revision letter, page count. If Rev D turns up next month, it gets its own quote, in writing.

  2. One figure

A fixed project price between $300 and $1,500. It is the number on the invoice when the files are delivered.

  3. Everything inside it

The certificate, the second read, the log of every disagreement and how it was settled, and the page set to labeling conventions.

  4. A date with the second read in it

Set by page count. We won’t shorten a date by skipping the review — that read is why the quote exists.

  5. Two names

The people your QA team can ask about any word choice, long after the carton has gone to print.

The desk sits a short way up from Niantic Bay. Most work arrives by email, but paper still has its place here — a carton proof with handwritten corrections tells us things a PDF never will.
